Forks Down is operated by U.S. Freight Service Inc., doing business as Forks Down. By using Forks Down, you agree to these terms.

The service

Forks Down is a platform where independent food sellers take orders from their customers. Sellers are independent businesses, not employees or agents of Forks Down. Every order is an agreement between the customer and the seller: the seller prepares the food, sets the pickup or delivery terms, and is responsible for fulfilling the order. Sellers set their own menus, prices, and availability.

Billing, fees & cancellation

Forks Down costs $29.99 per month, billed through Square. That price includes customer messaging — text from your phone or email from anywhere — and there are no tiers and no add-ons. Two usage fees apply on top of the monthly price: $0.75 per order and $2.00 per catering job. A catering job is a booked catering event — a wedding, office lunch, party, or other event you cater through Forks Down — not a regular plate order; a catering job is charged the flat $2.00 instead of the per-order fee. Usage fees are tallied up and billed monthly. Card payments you take from your own customers are processed by Square, and Square's standard processing fees apply to those sales.

Cancel anytime. There is no contract and no cancellation fee. Canceling stops your next monthly renewal, and your account stays open until the end of the month you already paid for. Monthly payments already made are not refunded.

How sellers contact you

When you give your phone number and email at checkout on a seller's ordering page, that seller may contact you about your order — order confirmations, pickup-ready notices, and replies to your messages — by text from their own phone or by email. Sellers may also send occasional menu announcements to their own customers.
